Around Porta Tufi . . .

DSC03041
What was last time ? Orto Botanico of course!

So here is such a small suggestion from my side. If you are there, you shouldn’t miss occasion to check area around Porta Tufi that is located on Strada dei Tufi. There is so beautiful! Especially in Orti dei Tolomei.

Porta Tufi was built in 1325-1326 with the last walls and is attributed to Agnolo di Ventura. Brick, has an embattled cornice hanging arches resting on Guelph and three round-arched openings.

I like so much this place, so green and so calm. And what is more . . . with such priceless views!

Now let me show below you with big pleasure some photos from today’s walk.

Siena è così bella ! 🙂

  1. I was just watching “Francesco’s Italy-Top to Toe”, and where should he be but Siena 🙂 Your city looks so lovely. He is a Venetian but I love his gentle style of exploring.

  2. I think this is the way to show the places to visit, I hope one day Tripnative, our greatest effort in an app, can expose Siena too and all what local people can offer to show their spots. That’s what we enjoy discovering new places.

  3. Reblogged this on Ecuador Galore and commented:
I’ve lived in Central America, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and Asia and I admit my affinity for the Latin based cultures. So it is no surprise the posts about Italy are what I like to share. And the abundance of beautiful photos is also very persuasive. Enjoy!

  4. Is Porta Tufi a suburb within Siena?? I am looking for a little Bistro in Siena but not a tourist attraction. I want to experience the local culture and vibe
